Stratolaunch
One of the companies thinking “out there” is Paul Allen’s company Stratolaunch.
Stratolaunch is working with The Spaceship Company and Scaled Composites. They’re the ones that just completed assembly (now in testing phase) of the world ‘s biggest airplane. At 240 ft long and a wingspan of 385 ft wide and at 50 ft high, this monstrosity can carry almost 275 tons into space.

The Spaceship Company
Owned by Richard Branson and Burt Rutan, The Spaceship Company is dedicated to the Founder, Richard Branson’s understanding to provide for the huge demand for affordable, safe and regular access to space, unsatisfied by legacy providers and technologies, presented an opportunity for private sector investment and innovation, and carried the potential to drive lasting, positive change.
The last spaceships they built was White Knight Two and Spaceship Two.
Scaled Composites
Next in the tech companies in Mojave is Scaled Composites
Scaled Composites by Burt Rutan has been working with Stratolaunch.
What they are about is AIR VEHICLE DESIGN, TOOLING AND MANUFACTURING, SPECIALTY COMPOSITE STRUCTURE DESIGN, ANALYSIS AND FABRICATION, AND DEVELOPMENTAL FLIGHT TESTS OF AIR & SPACE VEHICLES.
